Before joining AKF seven years ago, she worked in Afghanistan, Canada, Tajikistan, and Pakistan with different AKDN agencies. She now leads a team that manages a large portfolio of grants from public and private donors, including the World Bank, USAID, and the Bezos Foundation. One aspect of the AKDN’s narrative that resonates deeply with external donors and partners, says Anisa, “is our enduring commitment to the communities we serve.”
