As a longtime partner of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. (AKF USA) congratulates USAID on their 50th anniversary. AKF USA is proud to continue to work with USAID on development projects, including education projects in Kenya.
Currently, AKF USA partners with USAID in implementing the Madrasa Resource Center (MRC) and the Education for Marginalized Children in Kenya (EMACK) projects. The projects focus on creating high-quality, sustainable education programs by training local teachers, empowering community members to help manage the schools and encouraging parents to become involved.
Education is vital to building strong and resilient communities. AKF USA is thankful for its partnership with USAID in creating sustainable education programs for the poor and marginalized in Kenya. Watch this video by USAID Kenya that shows USAID’s education programs in Kenya throughout the years, including our MRC and EMACK programs.
Madrasa Resource Center and Education for Marginalized Children in Kenya are initiatives of the Ministry of Education and the Aga Khan Foundation made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development.
