Sally is the Senior Design Strategist. She manages all the little details of AKF’s visual identity day-to-day while advocating for a design-thinking approach to both outreach and internal projects.
Her past experience reflects her commitment to design awareness and the nonprofit sphere. She is a graduate of the Maryland Institute of Art’s MFA program in Graphic Design, where her submission to the Gates Foundation Records for Life design challenge was selected in the top ten worldwide and her thesis focused on how class influences design’s form and perception. She continued her experience with MICA as the Bunting Teaching Fellow in Graphic Design, teaching beginning and intermediate graphic design courses.
Her past workplaces have included NPR, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design, and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from the George Washington University.
